My name is Esther and I am in my third and final year of university studying a degree in Multimedia journalism.
I am embarking on a new and exciting project, focusing on Choosing Wisely: an initiative of the ABIM Foundation that promotes patient-physician conversations about unnecessary medical tests and procedures. This Project is the most important project I’ve taken on so far. I hope it educates and informs the general public about their health.
I will be speaking to different individuals who are involved in Choosing Wisely. I will investigate whether the initiative is working in our countries that have tried it. I will also find which organizations and individual physicians have begun implementing Choosing Wisely or aspects of the campaign into their daily practice.
The project will consist of a 1500-word feature, an audio piece, video piece and online added content. This project will focus heavily upon the Choosing Wisely Campaign being implemented in the UK. The multimedia project will be published in January on Buzz Bournemouth.
I am always interested in speaking to people who want to get involved- so please do get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org
